The first day will be classroom training covering the basics of explosives and initiation systems, federal ATF regulations and safety recommendations. The second day will be practical, hands-on training in the field on drilling and blasting. Participants will learn surface blasting techniques and how to calculate magazine inventory, ATD, drilling parameters, and more. This course also counts for the 16-hours of continuing education required to renew a Colorado blasting permit.
