Explosives ES&T is a comprehensive short course on the principles and parameters of explosive science and engineering for professionals in fields relating to energetic (explosive) materials.  Both fundamental theory and practical aspects of the main topics in the field of explosive science and engineering will be discussed. All topics will be presented by internationally renowned experts and will be tailored to an audience spanning a wide range of scientific backgrounds. 

Tier I - Practical Explosives Training School (PETS)

This program tier consists of State-approved blasting license/certificate of fitness renewal courses.  Each course is specifically tailored to a specific State.

This is a 2-day course on explosives regulations, use, and safety. The first day will be classroom training covering the basics of explosives and initiation systems, federal ATF regulations and safety recommendations. The second day will be practical, hands-on training in the field on drilling and blasting. Participants will learn surface blasting techniques and how to calculate magazine inventory, ATD, drilling parameters, and more. This course also counts for the 16-hours of continuing education required to renew a Colorado blasting permit.
