Welcome to our on-line continuing education short course, organized by PetrExplosivesGroup.com in collaboration with Specialised Imaging Inc., a global leader in high-speed and ultra-high-speed framing digital imaging. This course serves as an introduction to high-speed and ultra-high-speed imaging technology and motion analysis, including streak and flash x-ray techniques.
Through this course, you will acquire highly applicable knowledge of experimentation techniques using energetic materials (explosives), such as detonation, shock wave physics, and shaped charge properties. You’ll learn how these parameters can be measured using ultra-high-speed imaging techniques.
This portion is entirely online and will cover the foundational science and technology of high-speed imaging. You’ll also learn about instrumentation and triggering, camera selection and operation, software use, and image analysis.
