Thank you for your registration to our course Colorado Practical Explosive Training School (PETS). This course is a collaboration with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment that offers basic training for inexperienced blasters on general explosives regulations and best practices procedures, with an emphasis on practical knowledge. The topics covered will include regulatory component (explosives safety, handling, storage, and applications) with overview of the current explosive regulations for the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) . This course will count for the required experience for the Colorado State Explosives Permit. Also, this class will be specifically tailored to examine the current correct industrial practices for explosive handling and use in Colorado and the United States.Â
This program is designed for all classifications of Type 1 applicants: Special Use, Transporter, Geophysical Exploration, Avalanche Control, Construction Limited, and Construction.
