Thank you for your registration to our course Virginia Practical Explosive Training School (PETS). This course is a collaboration with the Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office that offers basic training for blasters on general explosives regulations and best practices procedures, with an emphasis on practical knowledge. This course will count for the 8-hours of continuing education required to renew a Virginia State Restricted Blasters Certification. This class will be specifically tailored to examine the current correct industrial practices for explosive handling and use. The topics covered will include regulatory component (explosives safety, handling, storage, and applications) with overview of the current explosive regulations for the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
