Thank you for your registration to our course Practical Explosive Training School (PETS) 8-hour refresher course for Missouri. This course approved by the State of Missouri Division of Fire Safety and the ATF. This course covers general State and ATF explosives regulations and best practices and procedures, with an emphasis on practical knowledge. The topics covered include regulatory components (explosives safety, handling, storage, and applications) with overview of the current explosive regulations for the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) .
This course is excellent for both new explosive users and experienced blasters. It is self-paced and fully online. After successfully finishing this course, each participant will obtain a State-approved certificate for 8 hours of continuing education. This is the amount required for license renewal.
This course is suitable for all types of end users including: Surface blasting and construction, avalanche mitigation, industrial explosive cleaning, oil and gas explosive use, unexploded ordnance (UXO), law enforcement, U.S. Forest Service explosive use, blasting for underground mining and underground construction, special use of explosives, and general laboratory safety rules for explosives and energetic materials.
