Thank you for your registration for the State of Alaska PETS Course. This is a State of Alaska-approved 32-hour Blaster’s Certificate of Fitness course. “Blast Handler.” This course covers explosives regulations for the state of Alaska and the ATF. It also includes best practices procedures with an emphasis on practical knowledge. This course is excellent for both new explosive users and experienced blasters. After successfully finishing this course, you will obtain a State-approved certificate for 32 hours of continuing education. This is the amount required for a certificate of fitness renewal.
This course is suitable for all types of end users, including Surface blasting and construction, avalanche mitigation, industrial explosive cleaning, oil and gas explosive use, unexploded ordnance (UXO), law enforcement, U.S. Forest Service explosive use, blasting for underground mining and underground construction, special use of explosives, and general laboratory safety rules for explosives and energetic materials. This class is fully online and will provide you with a certification of completion.
